Located near Patagonia and Nogales, Arizona, this state park features a 250-acre lake that is a popular spot for camping, fishing, hiking, and picnicking. The lake was created by the damming of Sonoita Creek, and it is a habitat for bluegill, green sunfish, largemouth bass, channel catfish, and rainbow trout. There are several special events throughout the year, including bird tours and the annual mariachi festival.

How to Get to
Patagonia Lake State Park
Patagonia is near Tucson, which is about 73 miles away. You will want to take I-10E and travel to Exit 285 for AZ-83 S. Make sure to follow it for 25 miles. Once you have reached Lake Patagonia Road, you will need to turn right. The road will lead you directly into town.

Patagonia Lake State Park offers varying hours throughout the year. From November to March, the park is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. From April to October, the park is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
