Protection for Owners
Protect your RV and have peace of mind while it’s on the road with renters. RVshare insurance and protection is provided to you at no additional cost and is required for each and every trip*. In addition to you and your RV being covered, every renter undergoes a vetting process through RVshare’s trusted partner, DigiSure, so you can take comfort in knowing your RV is in good hands.
In the unfortunate event an accident does happen while your RV is out with a renter, have confidence that the market-leading insurance and protection partner, Crum and Forster in conjunction with DigiSure, will see to a swift claims resolution so you can get your RV back on the road.
Coverage during the rental period includes:
Up to $1M in liability insurance coverage
Up to $300,000 in comprehensive and collision coverage based on the value of the RV
Free 24/7 roadside assistance including free towing and tire service
Campsite coverage up to $50,000
RVshare Protection Plan covers RVs that are 20 years old or newer, with a stated value of $300,000 or less. If you have an RV that is older than 20 years, only liability coverage can be activated on your RV. This insurance and protection option provides renters with liability only coverage for the length of their trip. It does not include comprehensive or collision coverage for your RV.
*If commercial coverage is active on the RV, please contact customer service to update your records and apply commercial coverage on all bookings.

Protection for Renters
Before you book, all owners and RVs were vetted and approved for RVshare insurance and protection.
Each and every RV rental is required to secure RVshare Insurance and Protection* in case anything accidental happens while you’re on the trip.This includes trips where the RV might be delivered or stationary for the duration of the trip. Even if the RV is delivered or stationary, damages may still occur like fire, acts of nature like storms and falling trees, etc.
The Essential Package of insurance and protection will be automatically included in the quote when booking an RV that is covered by RVshare Protection Plan. Renters will have the flexibility to choose a different package at the time of booking.
The RVshare Protection Plan Packages for motorhome and travel trailer rentals includes:
Up to $300,000 in comprehensive and collision coverage based on the value of the RV
Free 24/7 roadside assistance and free towing and tire service
State statutory limits of liability
For delivered RVs, coverage for accidental damages after delivery.
Renters are covered in all 50 states and Canada and both renters and owners will be issued proof of coverage on a per rental basis**.
*In some cases, an owner may have their own commercial insurance. You are still required to complete the ID verification steps for the safety of the marketplace.

The Vetting Process
In order to ensure the safety, integrity and trust for both renters and owners, all users and vehicles on the marketplace will undergo a vetting process. DigiSure, RVshare’s trusted partner, manages the vetting across renters, owners and RVs.*

Major recalls
The majority of the time, this review is instant and users will know they are approved. In some cases, additional information is required and must be provided directly to DigiSure. In other cases, it’s possible that a user or RV is declined and will be unable to proceed on RVshare.
*This includes owners who have commercial coverage as a separate policy on their RV.
