Eleven Mile State Park is the home of the Eleven Mile Reservoir, a 7,622-acre lake that is a popular site for dedicated anglers. This reservoir is one of Colorado's largest human-made lakes and has over 325 campsites, miles of hiking and biking trails, and plenty of opportunities for boating activities. The park is an hour west of Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs and is next to Pikes Peak, which makes it an ideal location for visiting Colorado Springs, the Rocky Mountains, and the Pikes Peak area on your next RV trip.

Pikes Peak RV Park
Pikes Peak RV Park is a small and intimate family-owned RV park. It is located in the city of Manitou Springs near Pikes Peak. The park has a stream running through it, and many of the sites are right next to the running water. The other side of the park has sites that are adjacent to a walking trail with great views of Pikes Peak. While staying here, you have a good chance to see many varieties of wildlife make an appearance.

Golden Eagle Campground
You will thoroughly enjoy your stay at the Golden Eagle Campground in Colorado Springs. There are fishing lakes, wildflowers, and plenty of breathtaking mountain views. There is a 5-mile hiking trail in the park and other hiking trails in and around it. The park is quiet and away from the city noise, and you will often see different varieties of wildlife during your stay. The campground is convenient to Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak, and other nearby attractions.

Falcon Meadow RV Campground
Falcon Meadow RV Campground is a small, family-owned campground that is homey but has plenty of amenities. The on-site store sells propane and wood, and visitors can enjoy a playground and a basketball court. The campground is at 6,800 feet in altitude and affords views of the front range of the Rockies with Pikes Peak in the background.

Inside Eleven Mile State Park
There is no end to the fun you can have at Eleven Mile State Park. You can hunt and fish as permitted per season, and there are many outdoor opportunities like bird-watching, boating, ice skating, snowshoeing, hiking, biking, and numerous other sporting and recreational activities. You can rent some of the equipment for these outings at the park. Ice fishing is popular in the winter, and duck hunting attracts many hunters in the fall.
How to Get to
Eleven Mile State Park
From Canon City, you will drive 10 miles west on U.S. 50 to County Highway 9. Turn north on County Highway 9 and drive 22 miles to County Road 59. Turn back north on County Road 59 and drive 20 miles to the park.
From Colorado Springs, you will drive 38 miles west of the city on U.S. 24 to the town of Lake George and then turn left to head south on County Road 90. Drive for 6 miles to County Road 92. You will continue south on 92 for 5 miles to the park.
Entering Eleven Mile State Park
The park is open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. for day use. The office is open Friday through Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Frequently Asked Questions About Eleven Mile State Park
Summer is the best time to visit Eleven Mile State Park because conditions are often perfect for sailing and windsurfing. You can also go fishing for trout, Northern Pike and Kokanee salmon in the summer.
There are over 300 campsites in nine campgrounds located at various spots around the lake. Rocky Ridge Campground is the only option with electrical hookups, and there are also 14 hike-in sites in secluded locations.
When visiting Eleven Mile State Park, you may spot mule deer, pronghorn antelope, porcupine, badgers, black bear, elk, rabbits, coyote, muskrat and ground squirrels. They are most commonly spotted along the hiking and biking trails.
Pets are allowed at Eleven Miles State Park, but they are not allowed in the water for any reason. All dogs must be kept on a leash that is 6 feet or shorter.
Some campsites at the Rocky Ridge Campground are ADA compliant. Most of the hiking and biking trails in this park are not accessible. There is not a wheelchair-accessible fishing pier.
