Colorado Bend State Park RV & Campground Guide

Texas

It may be named after Colorado, but this roaring river does wind its way all the way down into Texas -- and if you’re lucky enough to visit Colorado Bend State Park, you’ll get to experience it up close and personal. Along with creating a haven for fisherfolk and paddlers, this Texas state park also offers access to a wide range of unique river-adjacent formations, like waterfalls, springs, sinkholes, and even a system of caves.

Colorado Bend State Park covers more than 5,000 acres of some of the most beautiful Texas countryside in the state, and with a public opening dating back to just 1987, it’s one of the newer state parks in the register. Whether you’re just looking for a relaxing place to spend the weekend or you’re ready to get acquainted with Mother Nature on a hike or ranger-led cave tour, here’s how to do your Colorado Bend State Park trip in style.
