RV Rentals at Arizona State Fair
State fairs are a wonderful way to get an overview of a region and the people who live there. From the agriculture to the artistic talents to the events they choose for entertainment - few things give you a better glimpse into how people in the area you’re visiting live than seeing the things they choose to showcase. Make sure to visit the Arizona State Fair to learn and have tons of fun.
ACTIVITIES & ENTERTAINMENT
The Arizona State Fair, held every October, is famous for its La Grande Wheel - the largest transportable Ferris Wheel in the world. Soaring almost 132 feet into the air, you can get a bird’s-eye view of the fairgrounds and the surrounding area.
The fair has over seventy other rides visitors can choose from as well, from sedate ones like the carousel, to competitive ones like the Euroslide (race your siblings or friends!) Classic spinning rides like the Cyclone and the aptly named Dizzy Dragon are sure to get your blood moving (and perhaps your lunch), and rides like the Wiggle Wurm are perfect for younger visitors.
Along with the midway rides and entertainment, there are plenty of competitions showing off the livestock and agriculture of the state, and the nearby states as well. There are youth livestock prizes for sheep, goats, cattle, pigs, poultry, pigeons, and more.
Be sure to check out the evening entertainment as well. Concerts on fair days usually include big country music stars and rock bands. In the past, the fair has hosted Bob Dylan, Sheryl Crow, ZZ Top, and Meat Loaf.
ON-SITE AMENITIES
There are plenty of amenities on-site at the fair. Choose from 110 food booths, with every kind of food imaginable. Guests can also bring in their own food or unopened bottled water. Glass containers and alcohol are prohibited. There is also a lost and found available at the security office, and there are guest services and information booths around the fairgrounds to answer your questions and help you find things.

RVING AT THE EVENT
RVing is a great way to explore the fair! It allows you to spend all day enjoying the rides and looking at the exhibits, and be able to come back to the comforts of home and your own food and bed at night. There are several RV campgrounds near the fairgrounds where you can stay while you visit.
The Covered Wagon RV Park has a swimming pool, showers, full hookups, and laundry facilities. It’s one of the oldest family-owned RV parks in the area and offers plenty of shade and grassy areas. It’s also pet-friendly.
Mesa/Apache Junction KOA is 30 minutes from Phoenix, but offers panoramic views of the Superstition Mountains. The campground has WiFi, a year-round pool, a hot tub, a dog park, and pull-thru sites.
Verde Valley RV & Camping Resort is on the Verde River in the high desert of Arizona. It is pet-friendly, and has a hot tub and pool, mini golf, a playground, hiking trails, and WiFi.

Whether you drive your own RV to the Arizona State Fair or use an RV rental, RVing is a great way to experience the fair! You can come home after a busy day of games, rides, concerts, and exhibits, and take a nice, hot shower in your own space before going to sleep in your comfy bed.

Take US-60 W and I-10 E to Wild Horse Pass Blvd. Take exit 162 from I-10 E
Continue on Wild Horse Pass Blvd and make a left on to Maricopa Road.

Follow AZ-51 S and I-10 E to Wild Horse Pass Blvd. Take exit 162 from I-10 E
